Free Solar Panels Grants

What are Solar Panels and what are the benefits?

Solar PV (photovoltaic) panels capture the sun’s energy and convert it into usable electricity in the home. There are many benefits of having Solar PV Panels installed on your property:

• They can help lower your electricity bills.

• They help to cut your carbon footprint and help the environment.

You may also be able to receive payments for extra energy that you generate, through signing up for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG). SEG is a government backed initiative which requires some electricity suppliers to pay residents with small renewable systems for the electricity they export back to the National Grid (subject to eligibility criteria). Please contact your electricity supplier for more information and how to apply.

Can I get solar panels for my home?

It's easy to find out if your home can benefit from solar panels. Click the button below to head to our 'Register Your Interest' form, which will take a minute to complete. Then, one of our team will be in touch to check your eligibility.

How Do Solar Panels Work?

A solar PV panel works when sunlight shines onto the panel, a flow of electricity is created.

Solar PV panels don’t need direct sunlight to work and can even work on cloudy days, however more electricity is generated on sunnier days. The electricity is fed to a device, which will be installed inside your home (typically in a loft/ roof space) to convert it into electricity that your household appliances can use.
